We are very excited to be working in collaboration with this fantastic project as it shares many common aims with our SAINT project.
Cruising Oceans on Latitudes above 51 Degrees North – The COOL Route is a Northern Periphery and Arctic Project, funded under the Interreg IVB NPA Programme
The project, running until March 2018, will research and plan all aspects of a bi-directional yacht cruising route between Cork in Southern Ireland and the North of Norway. A key emphasis of the Cool Route is on developing new economic opportunities for small enterprises in peripheral coastal and other areas of the Northern Periphery and Arctic Zone.
Steve Taylor (SAINT Project Manager) met with the team at Cork Institute or Technology who are leading this project and lots of ideas were shared for how best to work together. We will be adding more details to the SAINT website soon, and we are hoping to run a joint event in Derry, Northern Ireland, in September 2016.
